Elizabeth L. Anderson was born in Arena, Wis. October 31,1853, and passed away at her home in Sioux City, la., Oct. 5, 1944, at the age of 90 years, 11 months and 5 days.

She was united in marriage to W. W. Coon Nov. 28, 1873, in Shelby County, Iowa, moving to Woodbury County a few years later and locating on a farm 4 miles south of Correctionville, where they lived for 28 years. They moved to Sioux City in 1908.

To this union nine children were born. One daughter, Elsie Denton, preceded her in death. Her husband, W. W. Coon passed away 14 years ago.

Surviving her are, Mrs. James Mayclin, Chamberlain, S. Dak.; J. A. Coon, Correctionville, la.; Forest V. Coon, La Salle, Colorado; Mrs. Gladys Denton, Missoula, Mont.; Mrs. Zelma Babcock, Miss Goldie Coon, H. W. Coon and James B. Coon, all of Sioux City; also fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends who mourn her passing.

Funeral services were held at Anderson’s Funeral Home in Sioux City Monday Oct. 9, with interment in Graceland Cemetery.
