Leanna L. Sanchez, 75 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022. Celebration of Life will be held from 6-8pm Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 441 West 3rd Street, Sioux City, Iowa in the Community Room.

Leanna Louise Berryman Sanchez was born July 11, 1947, in Litchfield, Minnesota to Flossy and Leo (stepdad) Marquardt. She lived her life the way she wanted. She enjoyed many jobs over the years, including managing Dakota food and fuel, working as a salesperson at Slumberland furniture. She knew how to sell, even getting top salesperson a few times over the years. Her last job was working for the railroad museum, where she retired from.

Leanna loved being around people. She was involved in St. Boniface church and helped out there frequently with various activities. She loved playing cards, bingo, making homemade items for those she knew, and thoroughly enjoyed baking. She loved watching the Minnesota Vikings. She married her first husband Ken Coulston sometime around 1971, they had a son together. Leanna then marriage Noe Sánchez on August 3, 1973, and in this union, they had a daughter.

She is survived by her daughter, Maya (Monty) Hogan, grandchildren: Ryan, Allesha, Amber and Tristin all of Sioux City, grandchild, Zoe of Sioux City, great grandchildren, Kamdyn and Kingston, very good friend Melissa Ziegler, and husband of Minnesota, one brother, Lloyd Berryman, half-brother, Bruce Marquardt.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Noe, aunts and uncles.
