Betty Lorraine, little daughter of Mrs. F.W. Sanford, was born at Elk Point, South Dakota, May 11, 1925, and died in the St. Vincent's Hospital in Sioux City on January 14, 1927. She was taken sick Christmas day at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Sanford, and pneumonia quickly developed.

It was thought best to take her to the hospital where she could have expert care and this was done, however, it was to no avail and death relieved her of her sufferings last Friday, January 14, 1927, and the body was brought here by Wilson Funeral Service.

Funeral services, in charge of Rev. J.A. Kettle, were held at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Sanford, Sunday afternoon and she was buried in the Good Hope Cemetery beside her father, who died last April.
