Funeral services for Mrs. C.D. Sanford who passed away at her home very early Sunday morning, January 11, 1953, were held at the Church of Christ Wednesday afternoon, January 14, at 2 o'clock with Louis H. Benny officiating. Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery under direction of Wilson-Hull Funeral Home.

Ada Sedelia Kuntz was born April 4, 1874, at Olin, Jones Co., Iowa. Her father passed away when she was fifteen months old. When she was seven years old her mother married J.M. Brown of Harlan and she lived there until her marriage to Cornelius D. Sanford on February 22, 1894, in Correctionville.

Six children, three sons and three daughters, were born to this union, the sons and one daughter preceding her in death.

Mrs. Sanford has been a resident of Correctionville all her married life except for eleven years when the family lived at Sanborn. On February 22, 1952, Mr. and Mrs. Sanford observed their 58th wedding anniversary.

She united with the Christian church at Harlan in 1881, transferring her membership to the Church here.

She was a member of the W.R.C. and U.C.I.C. club, the L.C.S. club and the circle of the Evangelical Church.

Besides her husband she leaves her daughters, Mrs. Pearl Sage of Long Prairie, Minnesota, and Mrs. Corelia Pasek of Kansas City, Missouri, two half brothers, William Brown of Anthon and Clarence Brown of Sheldon, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
