Waldo Oliver Risher, 70, of Anthon, la., a former employe of Woodbury County, died Thursday at his home after a long illness.

Mr. Risher was born November 9, 1891 at Manchester, la. and when a boy moved with his parents to Missouri where the family resided for several years. For the last 49 years he has lived in the Correctionville and Anthon communities, with, the exception of two years spent California. He married Angie Dicks February 3, 1929 at Pierson, la. Mr. Risher was a member of Cerulian lodge, A. F. & A. M., and McNiff post, American Legion, at Anthon.

Survivors, in addition to the widow, include three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Spaits of Kansas City, Kan., Mrs. Olive Malemberg of Pilot Grove, Mo., and Mrs. Myrtle Spaits of Otterville, Mo.

Funeral services will, be 10 a. m. Saturday at the Walter funeral home at Anthon. Rev. Merle-Benson of the Anthon Methodist church will officiate. Burial will be in Good Hope cemetery north of Correctionville, la.
