Florence Doran, 74, of Sioux City died Thursday, March 8, 2001, at her residence.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel. Burial will be in Banner Township Cemetery in Lawton, Iowa. Visitation will be 3:30 to 9 p.m. Monday, with the family present 7 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Florence L. Doran, 74, of Sioux City died Thursday, March 8, 2001, following a lengthy illness.

Services will be 10 a.m. today at Christy- Smith Morningside Chapel with the Rev. Leo Kostizen officiating. Burial will be in Banner Township Cemetery in Lawton. Iowa.

Mrs. Doran was born June 24, 1926, in Bloomfield, Neb., the daughter of Christian Jergen and Nettie Emma (Bourn) Broders. She was raised in Bloomfield. She attended school in Knox County, Neb.

She married Justin D. "Bud" Doran on March 22, 1946, in Yankton, S.D. He died Nov. 25, 1986, in Sioux City. They lived in Yankton until 1967 when they moved to Sioux City.

She had been employed with Dale Electronics, Zenith Corporation, Capital Tavern and Greenville Tap. She retired in 1995.

She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Sioux City. She was an avid cribbage player. She enjoyed sports, quilting, gardening, and was a dedicated Cubs fan.

Survivors include four sons and their wives, Duane R. and Barbara, Douglas E. and Mary, Jay A. and Tami, and Scott D. and Ginger, all of Sioux City: three daughters and their husbands, Donna and Robert Rash of Silverton, Ore., JoAnne and LeRoy Jones of Sioux City, and Carla and Larry Ehlers of Lawton; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Bernice Bevington of Boise, Idaho, Charlotte Block of Yankton, Laura Lou Greckel of Bloomfield, and Fern Schlautman of Norfolk, Neb.

She also was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Donald, Ervin and Tom Broders.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Ehlers, Bobby Doran, Chad Basset, Martin Pottebaum, Earl and Pat Jones.
