LAWTON, Iowa -- Emma Dorale, 95, of Lawton, died Saturday, Feb. 29, 1992, at Julia's Valley Manor, Sioux City.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Bethel Lutheran Church, Lawton, with the Rev. Bruce Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Banner Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to service time Monday at the church. Dickison-Michaelson Funeral Home of Kingsley is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Dorale, the former Emma A. Krueger, was born Sept. 4, 1896, in Soldier Township, Crawford County, Iowa, the daughter of Wilhelm and Bertha (Fahrnow) Krueger. The family moved to near Wolsey, S.D., where she lived as a child, then returned to the Ricketts, Iowa, area as a young woman. She married William Dorale Feb. 22, 1917, at Ricketts. They farmed near there, then moved southeast of Lawton, where they farmed over 40 years. They moved into town in the late 1950s. Mr. Dorale died Nov. 18, 1988. She had conducted devotional services at Julia's Valley Manor for 25 years, and often entered her Quilting work in the Woodbury County Fair. She had been a resident of the nursing home for the past 3 1/2 years.

She was a charter member of Bethel Lutheran Church and had been a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Ladies' Aid.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Wayne and Gwen of Kingsley; a brother, William Krueger, of Denison; a sister, Mrs. Harold (Clara) Crouch, of Irwin, Iowa; and six grandchildren, Ruth Yoerger, Sharon Stenum, Carol Anderson, Calvin Dorale, Janet Dorale and Peggy Fundermann.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers, six sisters and a grandson.
