25 October 1981Theodore E. Dickson, 72, Route 2, died Friday in a Sioux City hospital after a long Illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Grace Lutheran Church. The Rev. Louis Sievert will officiate. Burial will be in Banner Township Cemetery at Lawton under direction of the Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Dickson was born Nov. 24, 1908, in Cappa, S.D. He lived in the Castana-Smithland area before moving to Sioux City in 1925. He married Ruth Nichols Sept. 26, 1931, in Sioux City.
He worked as a butcher for various area packing plants for many years.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Survivors include the widow; two sons, Ronald of Woodridge, Va., and Douglas of Sioux City; one daughter, Mrs. Sandra Annn Pietrusiewicz of Pasco, Wash.; two brothers, Robert of Sioux City and William of Le Mars; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Spencer of Remsen and Mrs. Wilma Heisler of Sioux City; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial is being established at the Marian Health Center Renal.
