LESLIE E. WOODWARD, 71, LeMars, Iowa-- Died March 29 at a Sioux City hospital, two-month illness. Funeral 1:30 p. m. April 1 Mauer Funeral Home, LeMars, Rev. Brandt Freeburg. Burial Greenwood Cemetery, Pierson, Iowa.

Born May 26, 1898, at Rock Rapids, Iowa. Retired farmer, painter. Longtime custodian, bus driver Kingsley Public Schools. Married Marie Foss Sept. 10, 1919, at Pierson.

Survivors: Widow; daughters, Mrs. Robert Weathers of Murphysboro, Ill., Mrs. Verl Kehrberg of LeMars, Mrs. Donald Herbold of Sioux City; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; brothers Harry, Frank, and William Woodward, all of Moravia, Iowa.
