21 November 1929Pierson Folks Lose Baby
Just, as the flickering rays of daylight were fading away, little Dean Foss Woodward, at 6:30 p. m. Monday evening, answered the call of the angel messenger, and was taken to that fair mansion, where no sin can ever enter to mar the spotless purity of his baby spirit.
He was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Woodward of near Rock Branch. He was born near Correctionville, Iowa, January 30th, 1927, and passed out of this world, November 11th, 1929, at the age of 2 years, 9 months, and 11 days.
He was a bright happy child, the joy of his parents and two sisters, Dorothy and Lillian. Besides he leaves his grandparents, who so dearly loved him, Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Woodward and Mr. and Mrs. Ole Foss all of Pierson, also a number of uncles and aunts.— Pierson Progress.
