Services at Pierson for Mrs. Willhoite

Pierson, Ia.-- Special: The funeral, of Mrs. Alice L. Willhoite was held Thursday afternoon at the Methodist church here. She died in a Sioux City hospital April 18. She was the wife of Safe C. Willhoite, to whom she was married in 1890 and they lived here all their married life, with the exception of the first few years. Mr. Willhoite died in 1926.

Mrs. Willhoite was the daughter of a pioneer family who homesteaded east of Pierson, coming here in 1867. Of a family of 11 children born to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Landon, Mrs. Willhoite was one of two remaining members.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Kate Landon Baker Kate Landon of Pierson, and a son Donald Willhoite of Superior, Neb.
