Funeral services for Chris Weinreich 92, longtime resident of the Pierson community who died Sunday at a LeMars, la., hospital, will be at 2 p. m. Wednesday at the Salem Lutheran church near Pierson. Rev. Henry Prieb will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery at Pierson under direction of the Dickison funeral home of Kingsley, la.

Mr. Weinreich was born September 29, 1869 at Brinkhausen, Walldek, Germany. He came to the United States at the age of 17 and to the Pierson community in 1907, after residing at Hyde Park, N. Y., and St. Paul, Minn. He farmed in the Pierson community until 1950 when he moved to town.

He married Mina Roekow at St. Paul in 1893. She died in 1945.

Survivors include three sons, Vernon and Jack, both, of Correctionville, and Clarence of Kingsley, 11 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. A son, Arthur, died in April, 1962.
