Marian D. Flynn, 75, of Sioux City died of cancer Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at her residence.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with the Rev. Gary Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with a vigil service at 6 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mrs. Flynn was born Nov. 8, 1925, in Hartford, Conn., the daughter of Charles A. and Dorothy K. (Pelton) Donahue. She graduated from East Hartford High School and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut in 1948.

She married Paul A. Flynn on Feb. 6, 1954, in Chicago. The couple moved to Sioux City in 1979, where she was a home-maker. She was employed with the Womens and Girls Work Secretary at the YMCA in Wallingford, Conn., and later in LaGrange, Ill.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and enjoyed collecting antiques.

Survivors include her husband; two sons and their wives, Paul A. II and Mary of Apple Valley, Minn., and Timothy C. and Jann of Millican, Colo.; two daughters and their husbands, Tracey E. and James Mutz of Joliet, Ill., and Patrice F. and Edward Baptista of Jamestown, R.I.; and 10 grandchildren, Laurenn, Christine, Natalie, Andrew, Spencer, Katie and Megan Flynn, Angel and Tamara Mutz and Matthew Baptista.

She was preceded in death by her parents. .

Pallbearers will be Edward Baptista, James Mutz, Erick Card, John Meyers, John Porter and Mark Krantz.
