Clara L. Meyer, 90, of Sioux City died Thursday, April 19, 2001, at Indian Hills Nursing and Rehab Center following a brief illness.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Kevin Richter of St. Boniface Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Meyer was born March 8, 1911, in Clay County, S.D. the daughter of Knute and Beth Edith (Allen) Langorgen. She attended South Dakota schools and graduated from Samuels Beauty School in the early 1930s.

She married Robert Semple on Sept. 18, 1942. He died in April 1965. She married Irvin Meyer on Oct. 20, 1967. He died Dec. 6, 1987.

She was employed with Lorenzo's Beauty Salon for several years. Her last place of employment was with Gingham Girl Beauty Salon.

She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and Rosary Society.

Survivors include two sisters, Gertrude and her husband, Keith Morey of Albuquerque, N.M., and Frances Gilligan of Omaha; and several nieces and nephews.
