GLIDDEN (THNS) — Mrs. F. F. Watson, 64, died at her home in Glidden at 4:50 yesterday afternoon after an illness of several months. Mrs. Watson had been at the Mayo clinic, Rochester, Minn., a few days at the first of the year and had been at her home here since then.
Funeral services are to be at 11 o'clock Thursday morning at the Methodist church in Glidden, with the Rev. H. H. Proett officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 that afternoon at Pierson, Iowa, with the Rev. Mr. Proett also conducting the committal rites.
The body will be returned from the Huffman Funeral home in Carroll to the family residence here early Wednesday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Watson have lived in Glidden since May 1, 1937. They had owned and operated the Watson cafe here until last November. Since February, they have lived in their home on Main street.
Mrs. Watson was born Dott M. Twogood Aug. 25, 1881, at Kingsly, la., where she was reared. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Twogood.
Her marriage to Mr. Watson took place April 17, 1903, at Sioux City. Mr. and Mrs. Watson had lived at Rock Rapids, Sibley, Pierson and Ft. Dodge before locating in Glidden, having moved here from Ft. Dodge.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Watson leaves one son, John M. (Jack) of Detroit, Mich., who will arrive here tonight or tomorrow morning; two grandsons, Jack, jr., and William David Watson; two brothers and five sisters.
She was a member of the Methodist church and Eastern Star, belonging to the Ft. Dodge chapter.
