F. F. Watson, Glidden, Dies; Restaurateur

GLIDDEN— Festus F. Watson, 77, retired restaurateur, died at 8 p.m. Saturday at St Anthony Hospital, Carroll, where be had been a patient since June 13.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Huffman Funeral Home here, with the Rev. Harrison Becker, minister of the Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. at Pierson, la., Mr. Watson's old home.

Operated Restaurant

Mr. Watson, who had lived in Glidden 15 years, had operated a restaurant here from May, 1937, until his retirement in 1945.

A son of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Watson, he was born at Pierson March 9, 1875. He attended the Pierson high school.

On April 17, 1903, he was married to Dott M. Twogood, who died in 1946. He was also preceded in death by a son, Alvie L., in 1926.

Surviving

Surviving are a son, John M. Watson of Fort Dodge, two grandchildren and one brother, H. A. Watson of Imbler, Ore. Mr. and Mrs. John M. Watson and family were here when Mr. Watson died. Mr. Watson was a member of the Methodist Church.
