PIERSON, Iowa - Paul Treptow, 86, of Pierson, died Thursday at his farm home after brief illness.

Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the Barker Funeral Home at Correctionville. The Rev. Beverly Wood, pastor of the Pierson Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Pierson. Visitation will be Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Treptow was born Feb. 11, 1898 near Pierson and he lived in the community his entire life. He attended rural Pierson schools. He married Florence Joslin Feb. 11, 1940 at Pierson. The couple farmed east of Pierson, retired in 1981 and remained on the farm.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Dwight of Orlando, Fla.; daughters Mrs. Robert (Vivian) Bridgett of Hinton, Mrs. Clarence (Shirley) Pressel of Stayton, Ore., Mrs. Tim (Tina) Meicher of Arlington Heights,Ill.; sisters, Mrs. Clara Herbold of Pierson, Mrs. Armijo (Bertha) Brower of Leedsburg, Fla., Mrs. Agnes Staben of Sioux City, Mrs. Esther Clark of Colorado Springs, Colo.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
