Mrs. Chris Treptow, 72, 1508 Morningside Ave., died Thursday afternoon at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Methodist Church at Pierson. The Rev. George W. Dunn will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at Pierson under direction of the Dickison-Michaelson Funeral Home of Kingsley, Iowa.

Mrs. Treptow, the former Lula Rehm, was born Feb. 15, 1895, at Kingsley. She was married to Chris Treptow Dec. 18, 1917, in Sioux City.

She was a graduate of Morningside College, and she taught at Grand Meadow, Climbing Hill, and Glidden, Iowa, and at a rural school near Merrill, Iowa.

Survivors include four sons, Melvin of Pierson, Russell, of Miami, Fla., Robert of Sioux City, and James of Ada, Minn.; three sisters, Mrs. Adolph Roeffler of Grand Butte, N.D., Mrs. Grace Ellis of Vancouver, Wash., Mrs. Orville Bashow of Oakland, Calif.; two brothers, Ray Rehm of Richland, Wash., and Harry Rehm of Iowa Falls, Iowa; and eight grandchildren.
