Funeral services for Chris John Treptow, 73, 1215 Nebraska St, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Methodist Church in Pierson. Dr. George W. Dunn will officiate, and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Pierson under the direction of the Dickison - Michaelson Funeral Home at Kingsley, Iowa.

Mr. Treptow was dead on arrival at a Sioux City hospital Wednesday night.

He was born Feb. 13, 1893, at Pierson and farmed at Pierson and Kingsley until 1933. Since that time he had been a car salesman in Sioux City. He married Lula Rehm Dec. 18, 1917, at Pierson. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge.

Survivors include the widow; four sons, Melvin of Pierson, Russell of Miami, Fla., Robert of Sioux City, and James of Fargo, N.D.; two brothers, Paul of Pierson and Herman of Kingsley; five sisters, Mrs. Roy Bierman of Marcus, Iowa, Mrs. Albert Herbold of Pierson, Mrs. Esther Clark of Iowa City, Iowa, Mrs. Armahoe Brower of Madison, Iowa, and Mrs. Agnes Staben of Sioux City; and eight grandchildren.
