23 September 1998LAKE CITY, Iowa -- Rosella Rock, 83, of Lake City died Monday, Sept 21, 1998, at Stewart Memorial Hospital in Lake City.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Lake City, with the Rev. Erland Asmus officiating. Burial will be in Pierson City Cemetery, Pierson, Iowa. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Thursday at Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City.
Mrs. Rock was born July 10, 1915, in Pierson, the daughter of Albert and Clara (Hanfeldt) Herbold. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.
She married Henry Rock on Nov. 25, 1937, in Correctionville, Iowa.
She was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her step-mother, Clara Herbold of Sioux City; an adopted daughter, Donna Newton; a son and his wife, Earl and Jeanette of Lake City; a brother, Harold Herbold of Sioux City; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant daughter, Ellen; a brother, Adolph; and two sisters, Lola and Ona Mae.
