War Pioneer Settler of Woodbury County
Andrew B. Furgason, a pioneer resident of Woodbury County, died of diabetes at 12:30 o’clock this morning at his home, 1603 Center Street. Mr. Furgason had long been engaged in farming near Oto, Ia.; coming to Sioux City to reside eight years ago.
Born in Jackson County, Ia. in 1845, Mr. Furgason located with his father on land in Woodbury County in 1869. During the Intervening years he had accumulated considerable property. He was a member of the Odd Fellows and Knights of Pythias fraternities.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Olive Furgason and one son, Allan I. Furgason of Oto, Ia.
There is one surviving brother, E. S. Furgason a farmer living near Oto.
Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed. The burial will be at Rock Branch, Ia., it was stated his morning.
