ANTHON, Iowa - Donald William Fey, 89, of Anthon died Friday, Oct. 22, 1999, at Correctionville Nursing and Rehab Center in Correctionville, Iowa.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at United Methodist Church in Anthon, with the Rev. Kent Kastler officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery at Rock Branch, rural Correctionville. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with a service by the Masonic Cerulean Lodge 550 A.F. & A.M. of Anthon at 7 p.m., at Armstrong Funeral Home in Anthon.

Mr. Fey was born June 14, 1910, at Omaha, the son of William and Ethel (Thompson) Fey. The family moved to Wheatland, Iowa, and to Anthon in 1919.

He married Bernice Ashley on May 30, 1936, at the home of her parents in rural Anthon. The couple then farmed in Wolf Creek Township near Anthon. Bernice died Nov. 15, 1994.

He was a member of United Methodist Church in Anthon, Masonic Cerulean Lodge 550, Order of the Eastern Star, Thona Chapter 423, both of Anthon. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite Consistory, and the Lawton Flying Club.

He enjoyed farming, music and flying.

Survivors include two sons and their wives: William A. and Kathy of New Braunfels, Texas, and Bruce and Sue of Sioux City; a daughter, Marjorie Farris of Richmond, Ky.; eight grandchildren: Kammy Armstrong, Brett, Boyd, Beau, Megan, Josie, and Rebecca Fey, and Ashley Farris; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Petersen of Cedar Falls, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Betty Adler of Sioux City; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Joe Farris.
