CORRECTIONVILLE, Iowa –

Roy B. Durham, 78, of Correctionville, died Saturday in a Sioux City hospital after long illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Assembly of God Church at Correctionville. The Kev. Tom Grieves will officiate. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery at Rock Branch. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Barker Funeral Home in Correctionville.

Mr. Durham was born Feb. 20, 1906, in Lovington, Ill. He moved to Iowa in his late teens. He farmed and trucked for many years in the Correctionville area. He was retired for several years. He married Martha Short June 15, 1925, in Cherokee.

Survivors include his wife; five sons, Russell of Sioux City, Dean of Council Bluffs, Gaylen of Novato, Calif., Lee of Garden Grove, Calif., and Paul of Ames; four daughters, Mrs. Noel (Faye) Jones, of Springfield, Ore., Mrs. Bud (Charlotte) Menter of Hibbing, Minn., Mrs. Lloyd (Ruth) Andresen of Correctionville, and Mrs. John (Louella) Skerjance of Hoyt Lakes, Minn.; five sisters, Mrs. Harold (Teddy) Moon of Stockton, Calif., Mrs. Roy (Edna) Blankenship of Ada, Okla., Mrs. Joe (Elizabeth) Cona of Newport News, Va., Mrs. Bert (Bertha) Cox, of Longview, Texas, and Mrs. Almouth (Josie) Gilbert of San Antonio, Texas; 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
