Service Set for William 0. Durham at Correctionville

Correctionville, Ia. --Special: The funeral for William O. Durham, 43, a resident of this locality for 20 years who died Saturday at a hospital in Des Moines, will be held at 2:30 p. m. Wednesday at the Church of Christ here.

Rev. Sidney Schuler will officiate and burial will be in the cemetery at Rock Branch, la. The V. F. W. will have charge of graveside rites. The Osborn funeral home of Pierson is directing arrangements.

He was born October 13, 1904, in Lovington, Ill. He entered the armed forces in 1937 and he served in World War 2. He was taken prisoner at Corregidor and was a prisoner of the Japanese for 40 months. He was discharged in February 1946.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Anna Durham of Correctionville, three, brothers, Charles and Roy of Correctionville and Arthur of Cushing and seven sisters, Mrs. Roy Blankenship of Weslaco, Tex., Mrs. Almouth Gilbert of McAllen, Tex., Mrs. Bert Cox of Marshall, Tex.; Mrs. Joseph A. Cona of Wichita Falls, Tex., Mrs. Calvin S. Stanford of San Antonio, Tex., Mrs. Harold Moon of Concord, Cal., and Mrs. Susie Short of Correctionville.
