Roy Duncanson, 48, died at the family home Friday night, May 10, 1940, at 10:30. He had been seriously ill for over a year.

He was the son of William R. and Mary J. Duncanson and was born in December 1891 at Pierson. He spent his entire life at the parental home. As a youth he attended school near the Duncanson farmstead and later graduated with the Class of 1911 at Pierson.

He passed away on the exact date of his father's death five years ago. One brother also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his mother, four sisters, Mrs. Josie Hathaway, Mrs. Jeanette Diller, Mrs. Marian Ulmer and Miss Anna Duncanson, all of Pierson, three brothers, McKinley Duncanson of Pierson, David Duncanson of Wagner, South Dakota, and Thomas Duncanson of Lewistown, Montana, six nephews and six nieces.

Funeral services were conducted from the home in Rutland Township Monday afternoon with Rev. B.H. Coonradt, pastor of the Pierson Church of Christ, officiating. Burial was in the family lot in the Rock Branch Cemetery.
