Fred Emery Cooper, 72, Omaha's Veteran's hospital after a three-week illness.

Mr. Cooper was born October 19, 1890, at Marshalltown, la. He came to the Moville and Kingsley, la., vicinity as a young boy. He married Violet F. McKee in November of 1922. In 1943 they moved to Luton. He worked at the Sioux City Brick and Tile Co. at Sergeant Bluff for 16 years.

Mr. cooper was a veteran of World War 1 and a member of the Sergeant Bluff American Legion post.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Emory of Luton and Theodore of Manchester, N. H.; four brothers, Jesse of Sergeant Bluff, Bert of Laurel, Daniel of Moville and Raymond of Luton; two sisters, Mrs. Tressie Jefferies of Norfolk, Neb. and Mrs. Bessie Cooper in Minnesota, and three grandchildren.

The body was taken to the W. Harry Christy funeral home in Morningside.
