FORMER COUNTY OFFICIAL DIES

F. E. Carrington Was Supervisor for 14 Years

Frank Edward Carrington, 75, former Woodbury County supervisor for 14 years, died Monday night at his home, 1811 Ross Street, after an illness of several months.

Born December 22, 1869, in Detroit, he moved while still a child with his parents to Waterloo, la. Soon afterward the family moved to Rock Branch, la., where Mr. Carrington resided until 1940. He had lived in Sioux City the last four years.

He married Mrs. Lola M. Talbot November 16, 1940, in Sioux City.

Mr. Carrington was a member of the First Congregational church, here. He also was a member of Trial lodge 532 A. F. & A. M at Moville and of Sioux City Consistory 5.

Surviving are the widow, and by a former marriage, a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Hobbs of Ames, la.; two sons, Raymond of Moville and Lyle of Bend, Ore.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The body was taken to the Westcott Doughty - Chandler funeral home.
