Joseph Bennett, 73, died Wednesday evening at the home of a sister, Mrs. Carl Olson, 823 Main Street, after an illness of about one year.

Mr. Bennett was born January 26, 1885, in Woodbury County near Rock Branch. He Married Lillian Ruth Stearns March 4, 1915. She died August 24, 1938.

He resided on a farm in Wolf Creek township until 1940 when he moved to Sioux City. He had been employed at the Sioux City stockyards and at the American Pop Corn Co. plant.

Survivors two daughters, Mrs. Fred Sylvester of Correctionville, and Mrs. Virgil Hager of Stockton, Ill.; two brothers, John H. of Sioux City, and Louis W. of Hinton, la.: five sisters, Mrs. Claude Kinzey of The Dalles, Ore., Mrs. Olson, Mrs. Mack Coyner of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Lawrence Justi of Litchfield, Minn., and Mrs. Glen Elliott Kerkhoven, Minn., and two grandchildren.

The body was taken to the Manning-O'Toole funeral home.

Funeral services for Joseph Bennett, 73, who died Wednesday at the" home of a sister, Mrs. Carl Olson, 822 Main Street, will be at 2 p. m. Saturday at the Manning- O'Toole funeral home. Rev. S. A. Sanders of the Assembly of God church at Correctionville will officiate. Burial will be in Rock Branch cemetery.

Nephews will be pallbearer.
