Anton Lauritz Andersen, 86, of Kansas City, Mo., a Sioux City resident for 50 years, died Tuesday at a Liberty, Mo., nursing home.

Mr. Andersen was born Aug. 26, 1887, in Denmark, and came to the United States as a young man. He lived in Sioux City for 50 years and moved to Kansas City seven years ago. He married the former Kirsten Madsen. Mrs. Andersen died several years ago.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux City.

Survivors are a son, Donald of Kansas City; a sister, Mrs. Kirstine Birk in Denmark, and two grandsons.

The body will arrive tonight at the Anderson-Perasso Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Anton Lauritz Andersen, 86, Kansas City, Mo., a former Sioux Cityan, will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Anderson-Perasso Funeral Home in Sioux City. The Rev. Russell J. Olson, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery at Rock Branch, Iowa.

Pallbearers will be Marvin Burnett, Harold Falk, Kenneth Lounsbury, Charles Weis, Roy Pfingsten and Lowell Gard.

Mr. Andersen died Tuesday at a nursing home at Liberty, Mo.

Mr. Andersen, a resident of Sioux City for more than 50 years, married Kirsten Madsen Sept. 25, 1913, in Sioux City. She died in 1966 in Sioux City.
