Dennis H. Alsager, 35, 3338 Jennings St., registered nurse, died Monday in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Charles Rinkel Jr. and Dr. Charles Mason will officiate. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery, Rock Branch, Iowa. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. in Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Nurses from Marian Health Center and St. Luke's Regional Medical Center will provide an honor guard at the service.

Mr. Alsager was born Sept. 18, 1949, at Eldora, Iowa. He graduated from Radcliffe (Iowa) High School in 1967 and attended two years at Ellsworth Junior College in Iowa Falls, Iowa. He attended nurses training at St. Joseph School of Nursing from 1978 to 1980 and worked at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center from 1975 to 1982. He married Barbara Baker Dec. 23, 1978, in Sioux City. He had been associated with the Jones Eye Clinic for the last three years.

Mr. Alsager was a member of First United Methodist Church. He served with the U.S. Navy from 1971 to 1975.

Survivors Include his wife; one son, Matthew and one daughter, Katie, both at home; his father, Harold of Radcliffe; two sisters, Kathryn Bulten of Radcliffe and Doris Ann Thierer of Traer, Iowa.
