OTO, Iowa - Dean G. Reed, 69, husband of Oto Mayor Gladys Reed, died Wednesday at an Omaha hospital of brief illness.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Mary Catholic Church at Oto. The Rev. Robert Leiting will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Walter - Funeral Home at Anthon.

Mr. Reed was born Feb. 13, 1909, at Fleming, Colo. He married Gladys McKenna Dec. 27, 1945, at Raton, N. M. They moved to Oto in 1959. Mr. Reed had been employed by Westendorf Manufacturing Co. at Smithland. He was a World War II Air Force veteran and a member of Henry McKenna Post 651, American Legion at Oto, and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Survivors include the widow; two stepsons, James McKenna of Oto and Francis McKenna of Sioux City; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Leo (Mary) Waderich of Hornick and Mrs. Angelo (Patricia) Incitti of Pueblo, Calif.; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
