Mrs. W. Lee Cox, 61, longtime resident of the Holly Springs community, died Thursday at a hospital after a two-day illness.

Mrs. Cox was born March 29, 1895, near Hornick. She resided in the Hornick-Holly Springs community nearly all her life. For about two years she resided in Kansas, where her father and mother died, after which she went to make her home with an aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Lee of Rodney, la.

She was married to W. Lee Cox March 23,1915 in Sioux City and they moved to the Holly Springs community. She was a member of the Methodist church. A brother and a sister died previously.

Survivors besides the widower and a son, Orval Lee of El Cajon, Cal.: a sister, Mrs. Cora E. Schroeder of Hartley, Ia., and four grandchildren.

The body was taken to the W. Harry Christy funeral home in Morningside
