Mrs. Amanda King, 87, of Hornick, died Friday afternoon in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Metcalf of Hornick. Mrs. King had been ill a short time following a paralytic stroke. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m. today in the Hornick Methodist church under direction of the Becker funeral home.

Mrs. King had lived in the vicinity of Sioux City for more than 60 years. A daughter, Mrs. Metcalf, and a son Andrew C, King of Hornick, with three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, survive.

Mrs. King was the widow of Elias King who preceded her in death about 25 years ago.
