Mrs. Orrel Kilzer

HORNICK, Iowa - Mrs. Orrel Kilzer, 67, of Chicago, ILL., a former Hornick resident, died Dec. 23 at a Chicago hospital of brief illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Dec. 27 in the German City Church in Holly Springs. The Rev, Martin Knudson and the Rev. Henry Held will officiate. Burial will be in Willow Township Cemetery at Holly Springs under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, Sloan.

Mrs. Kilzer, the former Vera Madsen, was born Dec. 17, 1909, at Rodney. She was married Dec. 31, 1935, in Sioux City. Mr. Kilzer died Nov. 21, 1965, at Hornick. After the death of her husband, Mrs. Kilzer moved from Hornick to Sioux City and in 1970 moved to Chicago. She was a member of the German City Church in Holly Springs.

Survivors include one son, Dr. Ronald Kilzer of Chicago: her father, Walter of Smithland, and two brothers, Arnold of Sioux City and Ivan of Hornick.
