9 November 1957Funeral services for A. Clyde King, 80, virtually a lifelong Hornick area resident who died Thursday at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hornick Methodist Church. Rev. Forrest G. Clark will officiate. Burial will be in Holly Springs Cemetery under direction of the Hilts funeral home, Sloan.
Mr. King was born July 1, 1877, at Leon, Iowa. He went to Hornick, at the age of 5. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include two sons, Clifford of Hornick and Allen of Sioux City; a , daughter, Mrs. Alvina Burkhart of Sioux City: a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Metcalf of Hornick; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
