HORNICK, Iowa - Frederick Gallagher, 81, Hornick, died Saturday in an Onawa hospital.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Hornick Methodist Church. The Rev. Dale Church will officiate. Burial will be in Willow Township Cemetery at Holly Springs under the direction of the Wood Funeral Home, Sloan.

Mr. Gallagher was born Sept. 9, 1895, at Mt. Pulaski, Illinois. He married Ermal Bowen on Dec. 18. 1917, at Moline, Illinois. She died April 6, 1961, at Sioux City.

Mr. Gallagher was a life-time Woodbury County resident. He was a farmer. He was a member of the IOOF Lodge of Hornick.

Survivors include one son, Frank of Sloan; three daughters, Mrs. Larry (Madge) Solorio and Ms. Geraldine Lynn, both of Omaha and Mrs. Raymond (Mildred) Carr of Hornick; two brothers, Johnny and Roy, both of Hornick; two sisters, Miss Ella of Sioux City and Mrs. Veryl (Marie) Watts of Clarinda; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
