Mrs. Lauritz Hansen

HORNICK, Iowa -- Mrs. Lauritz Hansen, 88, of Hornick died Monday, June 18, 1990, in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Church of Christ at Holly Springs with the Rev. Dale Lint officiating. Burial will be in Willow Township Cemetery. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today in Willman Funeral Home in Rodney.

Mrs. Hansen, the former Minnie Marie Burkhart, was born Dec. 27, 1901, rural Hornick, the daughter of John and Louise Rose Burkhart. She married Lauritz Hansen April 22, 1922, at German City. He died Sept. 8, 1972.

Mrs. Hansen was a member of Holly Springs Church of Christ and the Ladies Aid.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Ernster of Waterloo; a brother, Frank Burkhart of Rodney; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Marvin Burkhart; a sister, Pauline Hansen; a brother, Clarence Burkhart, and a son, Earland Hansen.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, David Hansen, Donovan Hansen, Dirk Hansen, Darwin Hansen, Thomas Dirks, Quinn Ernster.
