KINGSLEY, Iowa - (Buried Sioux City)

Echo Lucile Luse, 90, of Battle Creek, formerly of Kingsley, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 1996, at the Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove, Iowa.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Christensen-Ciha Funeral Home in Ida Grove. The Dr. Herbert K. Johnson, pastor of Winebrenner Church of God in Ida Grove, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Luse was born March 21, 1906, in Holstein, Iowa, the daughter of Elmer and Sarah (Long) Stephenson. She attended the country schools of Ida County. She married Carl Witt of Mapleton, Iowa in 1923, she later married Dale Sultan Fisher of Sioux Falls, S.D., After a divorce from Mr. Fisher, she married Francis Luse of Mapleton. The couple lived in Mapleton until his death, she then moved to Wheatland, Mo., then moved to Moville, Iowa. She then moved to Kingsley until she moved to Willow Dale Nursing Home in Battle Creek five years ago.

Survivors include a son, Carl Myron Witt; a daughter and her husband, Saralene and Rev. James Earsom of Boliver, Mo.; two grandchildren; Sandra Litle and James Witt; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; a brother, Leonard Stephenson of Battle Creek; and three sisters, Edna Klemmensen of Moville, Patriot Anderson and Sarah Nell Stephenson both of Ida Grove.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; two sisters; and an infant son.
