Harry E. James

Harry E. James, 60, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 1996, at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness of kidney disease.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Jacobs, pastor of Morningside Assembly of God Church, officiating. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m.- today, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. James was born June 4, 1936, in Winnebago, Neb., the son of Isaac and Evelyn (Rouilard) James. He graduated from Central High School in 1956, and the Sioux Empire College in Sioux Center, Iowa, with an associate of arts degree. He married Nancy M. Dunn on Sept. 30, 66, in Sioux City. He was employed as a warehouse auditor with Sue Bee Honey and Associates for 40 years. He enjoyed model airplanes and art.

He was a member of the St. James United Methodist Church. He coached youth baseball, Softball, basketball, and soccer.

Survivors include his wife; five sons, Phillip of Fort Stewart, Ga., Scott of Fort Hood, Texas, Kevin, Dennis, and Bradley of Sioux City; four daughters, Amy, Gerry, Janice, and Janet James all of Sioux City; two brothers, Jesse and Clifford and his wife Jean all of Sioux City; five sisters, Elanor and her husband Darrell Crosser of Cottonwood, Ariz., Dorris Shields and Joan and her husband Harvey Rafel all of Merced, Calif., Margaret and her husband Pete Breland of Sioux City, and Donna and her husband Greg Muecke of Hinton, Iowa; and three grandchildren, Jerid, Quenton and Bodie James all of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry.

Pallbearers will be Jim and Paul James, Sonny Powell, Zachary Muecke, Vic Lund, and Doug Mammen.
