Mary Ann Cooper, 54, of Sioux City died Monday, Dec. 9, 1996, at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Tri-State Christian Church in South Sioux City, with the Rev. Philip Olsen officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Christy, Smith and Hockenberry Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cooper was born June 11, 1942, in Sioux City. She graduated from Central High School in 1961. She married Dennis L. Cooper on June 1, 1962, at the Mayflower Congregational Church in Sioux City. She was employed at Younkers, Matney Nursing Home, for about six years, Clocktower Nursing Home, and Walmart.
She was a member of the Tri-State Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Mark Phillip and Michael Alan and his wife Laurie all of Norfolk, Neb.; six grandchildren, Levi, Sarah, Brady, Elizabeth, Staci, Stephen Cooper; two brothers, Phelps of Washington and Meizner of Sioux City; and sisters, Bettie Williamson and Stall of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by other siblings.
