Richard L Sheridan Sr.

MACY, Neb. -(Died Sioux City) Richard Lee Sheridan Sr., 48, of Macy left for the spirit world on Monday, May 11, 2009, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Alfred Gilpin Building in Macy, with Mr. Jeff Gilpin officiating. Burial will be in Omaha Tribal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today and will continue until service time Friday at the Macy Alcohol Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh Funeral Home in Pender, Neb.

Richard was born Oct. 5, 1960, to Frank Sheridan Sr. and Evelyn (Grant) Sheridan. He was well known for his ability to play basketball. He liked his traditional ways. He enjoyed gourd dancing and was a member of the Omaha Tia-pah Society.

He is survived by three sons, Cameron and his wife, Krista, Richard and Lester Sheridan, all of Macy; two grandchildren, Cammie and Cameron Jr. of Macy; four sisters, Mary L. Mitchell and Janet Bazer, both of Macy, Linda Sheridan of Walthill, Neb., and Sandra Aguilar of Lincoln, Neb.; six brothers, Dave Sheridan, Louie Sheridan Sr., Neal Sheridan Sr. and Jeffrey S. Miller, all of Macy, Frank Sheridan Jr. of Walthill, and Dwight Sheridan Sr. of Lincoln; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He also had other numerous grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, George and Lucy Grant and Clyde and Mary (Woodhull) Sheridan; aunts, Joan and June Grant; and uncles, George F. Grant and Clifford Grant.
