Lois I Bruneau

SIOUX CITY - Lois I. Bruneau, 81, of Sioux City passed away Friday, May 8, 2009, at Holy Spirit Retirement Home.

Abiding by her own request, cremation has taken place and no services for Lois will be held. Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel has assisted the family with arrangements.

Lois was born in Sioux City to Elmer and Ethel (Kroesan) Harder. She married Fabian Bruneau on June l. She domestically cleaned houses for doctors families in the Sioux City area for several years. She loved gardening, listening to music but most of all loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Lois always put others before herself and will always be remembered as an unselfish, loving mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Holy Spirit Retirement Home for all their loving care. Also, special thanks to Hospice of Siouxland for its attentiveness and ensuring her comfort throughout her illness.

Lois is survived by a daughter, Lori Barrett and her husband, Jeffrey of Sioux City; a son, Robert Borger Sr. and his wife, Betty of Memphis, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Amy Barrett and Trevor Barrett, both of Sioux City, Robert Borger Jr. and Tiffany Brewer, both of Memphis, and Andra Borger of Michigan; and 11 great-grandchildren, Micheal, Betty Jo and Timothy McGarry, Carolyn, Isiah, Makaya and Josiah Borger, Chelsea, Weston and Cannon Brewer and Thomas Barrett.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fabian; a son, Michael Borger; two sisters; and a brother
