HORNICK, Iowa - Sandra Lynn Rogers, 51, of Hornick died Thursday, April 30, 2009, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hornick United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Catie Newman officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa.

Sandra Lynn was born Nov. 16, 1957, in Onawa, the daughter of Jack R. and Gloria (Steele) Steinhoff. She was raised in Hornick and graduated from Westwood High School in 1976.

She married Mark Clark on Feb. 14, 1976.

She attended Jennie Edmundson Radiology School in Council Bluffs, Iowa and Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City, where she received a registered nurse degree. She was employed at Elmwood Care Centre for 13 years and was currently employed at Countryside Retirement Home in Sioux City.

She was a member of Hornick United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Aaron Clark of Hornick; a daughter and her husband, Emily and Richard Houghtaling of Woodward, Iowa; a grandson, Skyler; her parents, Jack R. and Gloria Steinhoff of Hornick; four brothers, John (Deborah) of Sioux City, Jim of Onawa, Clifford (Janie) of Hornick and Gaylen (Judy) of Smithland, Iowa; a sister, Marilyn (Fred) Teach of Blair, Neb. ; a sister-in-law, Debra Steinhoff of Hornick; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Alan Matthew; a brother, Mark; a sister-in-law, Cindy Steinhoff; a niece, Sara Steinhoff; and her grandparents, Herman and Cora Steinhoff and Walter and Cecile Steele.
