19 April, 2009SIOUX CITY -- Wanda K. Schmidt, 61, of Sioux City died Thursday, April 16, 2009, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Roger Madden officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Wanda was born March 25, 1948, in Fremont, Neb., to Charles and Hattie (Jones) Cambell. She graduated from Iowa Beauty College.
She married Jerry Schmidt on Nov. 29, 1969, in Sioux City. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Curtis Schmidt of Sioux City; a daughter, Kim Smith of Wisconsin; a brother, Brett Cambell and his girlfriend, Tori of Sioux City; two sisters, Dawn Junck and husband, Lester and Cheryl Fox, all of Sioux City; nieces and nephews, Rhonda, Shannon, Shawn, Leslie, Jeff, Robbie, Charlie, Renae, Ivan, Bradley, Samantha, Natalie, Charles, Kayleen and Brooke; along with several great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sons, Randy and Jason; and three brothers, Glen, Richard and Warren.
