SIOUX CITY -- Sandra Kay Cobb, 61, of Sioux City died Friday, April 3, 2009, at her residence.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church of Allen, Neb., with Pastor Sara Simmons officiating. Inurnment will follow in Eastview Cemetery at Allen. Arrangements are under the direction of Thompson Chapel Funeral Home of Wakefield, Neb.

Sandra Kay Cobb was born May 28, 1947, in Sioux City, the daughter of Voyl and Phyllis (Dyson) Geiger. She graduated from Allen High School in 1966. After graduating, she moved to Sioux City and worked at various jobs.

Sandra and Richard Cobb were married from July 10, 1968 until 1999. Sandra did baby-sitting at home until her children were mostly out of school. Then she worked at USA Steak Buffet and was in a managerial position there until its closing in November 2008.

She loved to travel, listened mostly to country music and enjoyed dancing. Sandra lived her life by being active with her kids and grandkids.

Survivors include three sons, Bryan, Mark (Tina) and Kevin, all of Sioux City; two brothers, Jerry (Linda) Geiger of Sioux City, and Charles Geiger of Wayne, Neb.; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Tristan, Dawson and Hayden; along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Debra.
