SIOUX CITY -- Charlotte Ann Eagle Track, 54, of Sioux City died Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Walthill, Neb., with Galen Drapeau Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be today and will continue until service time Monday at the residence of Olive Wood in Walthill. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh Funeral Home in Pender, Neb.

Charlotte was born Nov. 30, 1954, in Wagner, S.D., to Calvin Brown and Olive Wood. She met and married Patrick J. Eagle Track of Lake Andes, S.D. She obtained her general education diploma in 1982. Her biggest accomplishment came when she gained her sobriety in 1983. She moved to Sioux City in 1984 and lived here until her death.

She was very talented and crafty. She was proud of her heritage and believed in tradition. She loved and cared for her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick J. Eagle Track of Sioux City; her mother, Olive Wood of Walthill; sisters, Martina Big Eagle of Harrold, S.D., Agnes (Wood) and Mike Bernie of Walthill, Paula and Hector Julaj of Sioux City and Jean Wood of Walthill; a brother, Narcisse Wood of Walthill; her children, Marcia (Frankie Sr.) Ramirez of Scottsbluff, Neb., Frances De Cora of Omaha, Virgil Stricker Jr., Cheryl Eagle Track, Theresa (Michael) Zinns and Trisha Eagle Track and Jose Hernandez, all of Sioux City; 20 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Torrance Eagle Track; her father, Calvin Brown; brothers, Paul Wood and Darwin Wood; and grandmother, Clara Drapeau.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
