20 March 2009SIOUX CITY -- Shirley A. Fox, 63, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at her residence.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff.
Shirley was born Dec. 20, 1945, in Sioux City, the daughter of Warren and Helen (Martin) McGrady. When she was seven, the family moved to California. She graduated from Canoga High School in 1964. In 1978, she returned to the Sioux City area.
On Sept. 13, 1986, she was united in marriage to Gerald Fox. She worked at Sioux City Stationery and later at Standard Office Equipment until retiring in 1999.
She loved to travel, especially in the Black Hills of South Dakota. She was known for baking cakes and cookies for birthdays, special events and just to be baking.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald; their son, Steve Fox and his wife, JoDel of Huntley, Ill.; her uncle and aunt in the Sioux City area, Pat and Elaine Shanahan; other relatives; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
