SIOUX CITY -- James Leo "Jim" Richardson of Sioux City died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Merrill Muller officiating. Cremation will follow the service Saturday. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Jim was born April 26, 1953, in Wichita, Kan., the son of Merle and Verla (Sullivan) Richardson.

He was married to Sharon Miller Worden on March 21, 1984, in Elk Point, S.D. He was employed as a plant manager at Elastomer Engineering.

He was a family man and enjoyed attending his grandchildren's games and loved spending time with them. He enjoyed going to the casino with his wife and will be remembered for his great sense of humor.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Richardson; a son, Bill (Kerie) Worden of Sioux City; a daughter, Kim Bower of Sioux City; a son, Tony (Michele) of Hinton, Iowa; a daughter, Laurie (Raul) Garcia of Sioux City; a son, Bobby Worden and his significant other, Amanda of Sioux City; 13 grandchildren and one on the way; a brother, Pat (Jo) Richardson of Moline, Ill.; a sister, Kathy (Tom) Snyder of Early, Iowa; a brother, Denny (Judy) Richardson of Sioux City; a sister, Debbie Flute of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Robert Richardson.
