12 February 2009SIOUX CITY -- Ruby J. (Wiig) Andersen of Hemet, Calif., formerly of Sioux City, passed away Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at her residence.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Abundant Life Ministries in San Jacinto, Calif. Private graveside services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Hemet Valley Mortuary.
Ruby was born in Laurel on April 29, 1934. She had been a resident of Hemet for 12 years and formerly of Nebraska and Sioux City. She was a licensed vocational nurse for 13 years.
She loved gardening, taking care of her home and family. She was an avid Los Angeles Lakers fan.
She is survived by her daughters, Lori (John) Lovato and Lisa (Arnel) Jimenez, both of Hemet, Calif.; sisters, Vivian Harrington of Storm Lake, Iowa, and Shirley Oehlerking of South Sioux City; and seven grandchildren.
