DAKOTA DUNES (Died Sioux City)-- Judy A. (McGinty) Robley, 53, of Dakota Dunes, formerly of South Sioux City, passed away Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief battle with cancer.

Memorial services will be 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Mohr Funeral Home, 1000 w. 29th Street, South Ridge Plaza, South Sioux City. The Rev. Joe Barnes of Riverzedge Church in Sioux City will officiate. Visitation with the family will be 5 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Abiding by her wishes, the body was cremated. Condolences may be sent online to www.mohrfuneralhome.com.

Judy was born May 2, 1955, in Sioux City, the daughter of Mike and Dorothy (Love) McGinty. She graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1973.

She married Tom Robley on Dec. 27, 1972. From their marriage a daughter, Carey, was born. She was a day-care provider for many years, having a special bond with all those she cared for.

Survivors include her husband, Tim of Dakota Dunes; a daughter, Carey and Rick Lindsey; a grandson, Brendan C. Lindsey; her parents, Mike and Dorothy McGinty of South Sioux City; two brothers and their wives, Jim and Vanessa McGinty of South Sioux City and Mick and Kerry McGinty of Gilbert, Ariz.; a sister and her husband, Sharon and Jim Millard of New Bern, N.C.; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and several aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Jean McGinty.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the June E. Nylen Cancer Center.
